Another idea too late

When will I ever come up with a great, patentable idea that hasn't been done before. More than 3 years ago, I thought of a chip bag design that involves two bags - an inner one with the chips, and an outer one filled with air. The idea behind it was to prevent crushed chips. After further thinking, I realized that on impact, the chips would still have just as much chance of being crushed - but it DOES prevent consumers from damaging them by squeezing them or by placing weight on the bag in the shopping cart. Today - I saw those chips. I was at the Greenville IGA store and saw Crane Potato Chips. It was actually a twin pack of two bags of chips inside a larger sealed plastic bag, it was still my idea. True, their outer bag was likely only to hold in two bags. More surprising, the double-bag of chips was only $1.29. On the downside, the barbecue chips I tried weren't that good. They were better than Lay's, but they were no match for Kitchen Cooked Potato Chips (a kettle-cooked brand made in my hometown).
