Not as Incredible

I remember the glory days of Pixar. I knew that I didn't have to deal with anything much in their movies - just have a good time. It is one of the few companies that still put out G-rated movies (at least that make it to theaters). The Incredibles, I believe, is Pixar's first PG-rated movie. Not only was it their first, but they pushed the rating to the limit. If you're a teenager or an adult, this movie's great. On the other hand, everybody is used to Pixar being for everyone. This was the exception. If you are a very young child, this movie is far too violent for you. There are explosions, people being killed, and even the main characters face near death. It's just too much for younger kids. It was a great movie, and all about the values of keeping a family together. I just think they could have made it a little clearer that they're starting to lean toward the Shrek style of animated films. I don't want popularity to push them away from a quickly shrinking market.

Maybe I'm just inclined to dislike the movie a tiny bit because they had technical difficulties and David, Laura, and I had to wait an extra 2 1/2 hours to see it.

I wasn't trying to knock the animation - the animation was awesome. The way hair even changed its properties when it was wet! My eyes were popping out of my head more than once.
